J. Alvin George, director of North Island Financial Credit Union in San Diego, was named the 2003 CUES Directors Educational Forum Director of the Year during CUES' Directors Conference here. A CU volunteer since 1948 with what is now Financial 21 Credit Union, George has also served as president of the California Credit Union League, as chairman of CUNA, and a director with the World Council of Credit Unions.
