WALLA WALLA, Wash. - Another large credit union merger potentially is in the works, as the board of Walla Walla Valley FCU has approved a combination into Gesa CU, which would create a credit union with almost $700 million.
Members of Walla Walla Valley FCU were notified of the board’s plans by a letter and will discuss the combination at their annual meeting next week.
Gesa CU is the state’s fifth-largest credit union with $630 million in assets and 75,000 members. Walla Walla Valley FCU has almost $50 million in assets and 6,500 members.
