GARDNER, Mass. – GFA FCU announced yesterday its long-time president and CEO Charles Bowles is retiring at year-end and will be succeeded as CEO by Tina Sbrega, the chief operating officer for the $260 million credit union.
Bowles, who led the credit union for 24 years, will continue to serve on its board.
Bowles built the credit union into a regional institution, growing it from a single location to eight and now serving members in central Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire and Vermont.
