WACO, Texas – A man who robbed First Central CU at gunpoint last August, then broadcast the robbery weapon on his MySpace Internet page, on Wednesday was sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Twenty-five-year-old Cory Mathis was identified as the credit union robber by his girlfriend, who told the FBI that Mathis had confessed the deed to her. Friends and family members also identified Mathis as the robber shown in surveillance photos.
Mathis entered the credit union brandishing a .45-caliber pistol and ordered the security guard to the floor, then took the guard’s gun before fleeing with $14,000 in cash.
