Glacier Hills Credit Union welcomed Tami Winkler as its new president and CEO this week.

“I’m honored to be selected as the new president [and] CEO of Glacier Hills Credit Union,” Winkler said in a release. “Glacier Hills thrives because we have a fantastic team that is dedicated to the success of our members, and I look forward to spreading our philosophy of people helping people.”

The credit union’s board settled on Winkler after conducting a national search. Board Chair Karen Wilson said leadership interviewed candidates from across the country, but “The values and vision Tami exhibit as well as her knowledge of Glacier Hills show she is the best choice to lead the credit union.”

Winkler is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration according to her LinkedIn page.

The $140 million-asset credit union earned about $586,000 in net income during the first half of 2019, according to its most recent call report, a decrease of about 29% from one year prior. The CU services over 15,500 members across 13 counties.
