Golden 1 Launches P2P Service

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Golden 1 Credit Union has launched a new person-to-person (P2P) payment service called EZPay Personal Payments that allows members to send money electronically to other individuals with Internet access.

"Golden 1 members are very tech-savvy and they will take advantage of programs designed to make their banking experience more convenient," says Golden 1 President and CEO Teresa A. Halleck. "We've seen noticeable rises in the use of our online banking service, Golden 1 Online, and our Bill Payment service. EZPay Personal Payments is an addition to these services, allowing our members to send money to others whenever it's convenient, without having to leave the comfort of home."

The new P2P system allows qualified Golden 1 Online users to send and receive funds through the CU's bill payment service. It is not necessary for both people in the transaction to be a Golden 1 member. Funds may ben sent by a Golden 1 member to anyone using only an e-mail address or mobile phone number.
