ABBEVILLE, S.C. – Greater Abbeville FCU is offering members in financial straits a “Fresh Start Account” aimed at consumers who have been turned away at other lenders.

To offset the risk of the members the credit union is charging a $15 monthly checking fee. Members are required to attend free financial counseling sessions to help get their finances back on track.
After 12 months, if a member keeps the account in good standing they can upgrade to one of the credit union’s traditional accounts.
