AMES, Iowa – Greater Iowa CU has named Scott Zahnle, executive vice president at IH Mississippi Valley CU in nearby Moline, Ill., as president and CEO of the $280-million credit union.

At IH Mississippi Valley, an $850-million asset credit union, Zahnle was part of senior management directly responsible for information technology, card services, loan administration and the contact center. He was involved in the credit union’s strategic planning process and the planning to implement a sales culture.
Zahnle, who went to college at Northern Illinois University and earned a master’s of business from the University of Iowa, will take over at the credit union the credit union Feb. 8.
