ELK RIVER, Minn. – Greater Minnesota CU has donated $2,500 to the city of Elk River for the Movies in the Parks program.
The credit union donated a giant inflatable movie screen in 2007 and a commercial quality popcorn popper and supplies in 2008 to provide free popcorn at movie events. In 2009, the $2,500 will pay for the license fees for an entire season of movies.
The free movies will be held at River’s Edge Commons Park in downtown Elk River.
