INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, Minn. – Heartland CU yesterday said it has signed with LifeLock to provide its members with discounted identity theft prevention services.

LifeLock allows consumers to “lock” their credit by setting and automatically renewing fraud alerts with the major credit bureaus, and removing member names from pre-approved credit card offer and junk mail lists. The service is backed by a $1 million guarantee.
The company recently added an additional service to all members – free of charge – called WalletLock, which will cancel and replace all documents and personal identifying information inside a wallet if it is lost or stolen.
LifeLock is based in Tempe, Ariz.
