BOSSIER CITY, La. - Barksdale FCU said Amo Easterly has retired as CEO and will be succeeded by Rod Taylor, the credit union’s chief operating officer for the past 16 years.
Easterly has been in credit union management for 48 years and ran the defense credit union for 24 years, building it from just $75 million in assets to almost $700 million.
He was named 2004 Executive of the Year by NAFCU and Person of the Year in 2006 by the Bossier Chamber of Commerce.
The bank was determined, by multiple industry rankings and experts, to be the best mobile banking provider in the U.S.. Bank of America took second place.
