High School Student Charged In CU Hold-Up

KNIGHTDALE, N.C. -- A 17-year-old high school student was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon in connection with a late-morning hold-up of a State Employees CU.

Glenn Wilkins, listed as a student at Knightdale High School, used a handgun to steal $2,930 from the credit union, according to police.

Wilkins was arrested at his apartment and is being held on a $200,000 bond.
