Husband, Wife Charged In CU Heist

MT. VERNON, Ill. – A suspect in two local robberies, including a Dec. 10 holdup at Jefferson County Schools CU, was charged along with his wife in the credit union job.

Jeffrey Wilson, 41, is charged with one count of armed robbery with no firearm, two counts of aggravated robbery and two counts of financial institution robbery, in connection with the credit union robbery and a separate incident at Community First Bank of the Heartland on Nov. 27.

Wilson and two other subjects – wife Jessica Wilson, 30, and Amy Ramsey, 27 – are accused of robbing the credit union.

All three suspects were arrested one day after the credit union robbery and remain in custody under $500,000 bond each.
