Illinois Giant CEFCU Joins Shared Branch Network

PEORIA, Ill. – CEFCU last week said it has joined shared branching vendor CU Centers shared branch network owned by CO-OP Financial Services.

The $4.8 billion credit union, also known as Citizens Equity Financial CU, attributed the move to two reasons. First, when CEFCU acquired Valley CU at the end of 2008, Valley members already had access to shared branching. So, it was important that the credit union continued to offer this delivery channel that had been enjoyed and utilized by Valley members. At the same time, joining the CO-OP Shared Branching Network allows CEFCU to provide a valuable delivery channel to members throughout the nation, it said.
