ISHPEMING, Mich. Ishpeming Community FCU said it changed its name to TruNorth FCU to better reflect its five-county field of membership.

“This name combines tradition and the future,” said Georgie Isola, president of the $125-million credit union. “TruNorth fits the credit union as Tru reminds our members of truth, trustworthiness, and confidence while North reflects the geographic area.”
The credit union has three locations in Marquette, Ishpeming and Republic, and serves more than 14,000 members in Marquette, Alger, Baraga, Dickinson and Iron counties.
