VISTA, Calif.-Bluepoint Solutions has acquired Avalon International, the technology solution provider announced. Avalon, a .Net technology and advanced item processing firm based out of Norcross, Ga., will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bluepoint and will retain is base location. Further terms of the agreement were not announced. This blending of industry leaders will offer financial institutions a true end-to-end, image based Check21 capture and item processing solution, Bluepoint said.

Digital Dialogue Launches Tool
AUBURN HILLS, Mich.-Googling for help when it comes to credit union information may become a thing of the past thanks to Digital Dialogue's new search tool. The product, called DigiKnow, is an online knowledge base and query tool that organizes credit union information into a database that members and staff can access through a basic question format. DigiKnow was developed for credit unions to offer members an alternate resource for getting information directly from the credit union, the company said. A vice president for TruWest Credit Union called the new tool "an alternative to a help desk."
