OAK RIDGE, Tenn.-Identity theft protection firm CSIdentity is now working with ORNL Federal Credit Union to help protect the CU's members and employees from the rising threat of identity theft. CSIdentity's Protector solution is now being offered to all ORNL FCU's members at all 24 branch locations and online, and to its employees as part of its benefits package. "More than 3,700 victims of identity theft were reported in Tennessee in 2006, according to the FTC, and that number is likely to grow," said CSIdentity's chairman.

CU Starts Mobile Banking
FORT WORTH-Fort Worth City has signed with PM Systems Corporation to implement its mobile banking solution. The mobile banking application allows members to securely access a variety of banking and payment services anytime, anywhere using their cell phone, PDA, or other wireless devices. EVault Reports Customer Growth
EMERYVILLE, Calif.-EVault Inc, an online recovery solution provider, has seen its credit union customer base jump by more than 50% in the last year, the company announced. The firm said that hundreds of North American credit unions, such as Travis, Langley Federal and NASA Federal, use EVault, a Seagate Technology company, to keep their core system data secure, compliant and easy to manage. Fiserv Launches Source Capture
BROOKFIELD, Wis.-Fiserv has launched a "source capture optimization approach" to give financial institutions the ability to improve the functionality of all sources of deposit gathering. The new approach will offer clients the opportunity to leverage an integrated source capture platform that combines CheckFree thin-client technology-a web-based application in which software is not loaded on the client's computers-with existing Fiserv image capture solutions, the company said. "Banks today are taking deposits from a multitude of sources," said Christine Barry, research director at Aite Group. "Providing a universal platform would allow those sources to integrate seamlessly, creating a simplified, one-stop shop for capture while lowering the total cost of ownership."
