Jeanne D’Arc CU Celebrates 100th Birthday With New HQ

LOWELL, Mass. – Jeanne D’Arc CU, chartered almost a century ago, last week announced it bought two new buildings a block from its longtime offices where it plans to site a new headquarters.

As it prepares to celebrate its centennial, the $900 million credit union plans to construct a three-story, 13,600-square-foot building on Merrimack Street to house a main branch, offices and loan center, in the same neighborhood it opened its doors in 1912. The operations currently are housed just down the street.

About 30 employees will work in the new building, expected to be built in 2012, which also will include multiple drive-through lanes, ATMs and a large parking lot.
