Knoxville TVA Employees CU Eyes Elementary School For New HQ

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Knoxville TVA Employees CU has acquired a former elementary school and plans to renovate into a new headquarters for the $800 million credit union.

The credit union bought Perkins Elementary School and the surrounding property in October for $3.1 million. The school, built in 1927, has been renovated and served as offices for a local design firm since 1992.

Credit union officials were considering another site for the project but see the school as a better deal.
