LANSING, Mich. Lake Trust CU on Thursday said it has established its own non-profit charitable foundation, Lake Trust Credit Union Foundation.

The 501(c)(3) organization will be able to accept tax-deductible donations from both members and non-members. Donations will be used to fund local sponsorships, scholarships, grants and Team Lake Trust, a group of individuals dedicated to giving back to the communities.

“Our entire organization is devoted and passionate about building a stronger Michigan with our Foundation,” said David Snodgrass, president of the $1.6-billion credit union.
