Lake Trust CU Unveils Plans For $30-Million Headquarters Project

LANSING, Mich. Lake Trust CU on Friday announced plans to build a 100,000-square-foot administrative office project in nearby New Brighton.

The new headquarters will combine a work force split between corporate offices in Lansing and Plymouth. Plans are to open the new offices, which will house 250 employees, with room for as many as 350 employees, in late 2015.

Brighton Township is expected to review the headquarters site plans in October. The $1.6-billion credit union, created by the 2010 merger of NuUnion CU and Detroit Edison CU, hopes to break ground on the project in March.
