The League of Southeastern Credit Unions and Affiliates has hired Samantha Beeler as its new president.
The LSCU announced that Beeler, vice president of advocacy for the Northwest Credit Union Association, which oversees institutions in Washington, Oregon and Idaho, will start her new role on March 21.
“As we look to evolve Association Services to meet the current and future needs of our credit unions, I am confident that Samantha will bring the wealth of knowledge, innovation and energy needed to drive positive change for credit unions and the organization,” Patrick La Pine, the league's CEO, said in a press release Monday.
Originally formed through the consolidation of the Alabama Credit Union League and the Florida Credit Union League in 2009 — with the addition of the Georgia Credit Union League in 2019 — the LSCU currently represents 319 credit unions with more than $137 billion of assets and over 10.6 million members in Alabama, Georgia and Florida.
“The success of LSCU is no secret to credit unions and leagues across the country, and I look forward to building upon the foundation that has been set before me,” Beeler said in the release.
