BEARCREEK, Mont. Bob Wakenshaw, a longtime government worker who served on the board of Spokane FCU the past 43 years, died at his home last week at 82.
It was the 70-year anniversary, to the day, of the Bearcreek coal mine explosion that took his father and both of his grandfathers when he was just 11 years old.
He retired from the Social Security Administration in 1989 as a claims supervisor and served on the credit union board since 1970.
