ALEXANDRIA, Va. – NCUA on Friday said it made six loans from its community development loan fund last month, making a total of 40 for the year, a new high.
The low-interest loans, at 1%, went to: Kapalama FCU ($200,000); Yakima Community CU ($150,000); Genesee Co-Op FCU ($100,000); North County Co-operative FCU ($100,000); Winthrop FCU ($100,000) and Renaissance Community Development FCU ($50,000).
NCUA made a total of $7 million in loans from the fund in 2007, the most ever for a single year.
