AUGUSTA, Maine – This state’s credit unions began their 2010 awareness campaign a few days early, launching a new series of television ads on Dec. 28.
This year’s campaign, which is scheduled to run through June 20, will encompass more than 71,000 television commercials, almost 2,000 more than last year.
The summer will feature an extensive radio campaign. The television spots then will go back on the air in August through the end of September, and resume again right after Election Day on Nov. 3, airing from Nov. 4 through Dec. 26.
The increased frequency is driven by additional bonus weight that is negotiated with specials such as National Olympic Promos, NCAA March Madness and Quarterly CU Tips focused on financial literacy and personal finance.
