A "Maine People Helping Maine People 9-11 Remembrance ceremony" was held on Sept. 9 at the Maine Credit Union League. At the ceremony, Maine's credit unions paid tribute to the victims of 9-11 and their families, presented checks for $911.00 to each Red Cross Chapter in Maine and announced that Maine's credit unions have established a 9-11 Fund which will donate funds each year to the Red Cross Chapters in Maine in honor of 9-11.
