WESTBROOK, Me. - (09/13/04) -- The Maine CU League donated $911 toeach of seven Red Cross chapters--a total of $6,377--to pay tributeto the victims of September 11 and their families, duringceremonies Friday to mark the three-year anniversary of the WorldTrade Center bombings. The tribute, called 'People Remembering& Helping People,' included remarks from credit unionofficials. The ceremony concluded with representatives from each ofthe state's seven Red Cross chapters lighting a candle inrememberance the group participating in a moment ofsilence.
