LENEXA, Kan.-A man charged with last month's armed robbery at the Credit Union of Johnson County was indicted on additional charges of attempting to kill a witness to the hold-up as he made his getaway.
As he drove away, the suspect, Nicholas Kamphaus allegedly shot a 71-year-old member of the credit union who tried to follow him multiple times. The victim survived.
Kamphaus, 26, is also charged with armed bank robbery and brandishing a firearm during a violent crime.
