NEW LONDON, Ct. - (09/14/05) -- A local man was arrested Monday andcharged with robbing Core Plus CU earlier in the day while wearinga Darth Vader mask as a disguise. Police believe Mostafa Abohassab,31, was the man in the mask who robbed the credit union at gunpointaround 10:20 am Monday. Abohassab was tracked down after witnessestook down his license plate number as he was making his getawayfrom the credit union and gave it to police. The suspect may alsobe responsible for an armed robbery at a convenience store onSunday.
