ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The former manager of Georgia-Pacific Toledo Employees FCU was banned from the credit union industry by NCUA last week for embezzling $460,000 from the $3 million Toledo, Oregon, credit union.
Marcella Miller, 49, was convicted of stealing more than $500,000 from three organizations, Toledo Fire and Rescue Volunteer Association, Toledo High School Boosters Club as well as from the credit union.
NCUA also banned Adelle Herron, a 30-year-old assistant manager for Peoria Hiway CU, who was convicted last year of embezzling $540,000 from the $3 million Peoria, Ill., credit union.
Also banned were: Lori Kloss, former employee for Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center FCU; and Winston Smith, an employee of State Employees CU for stealing $175,000 from the Jacksonville, Fla., credit union.
