Marksberry Returns to CUs As Maus Steps Down at Public Service CU

DENVER — CU veteran Todd Marksberry is set to replace Dave Maus as CEO of Public Service CU here, when Maus retires later this year after 36 years at the $1.5 billion CU.

Though Marksberry's most recent position was not at a credit union, he is not new to the industry, having 22 years of credit union experience, including 16 years at Delta Community CU in Atlanta, where he was EVP and COO. Marksberry's most recent position was as SVP of San Francisco-based SavvyMoney, which provides credit score, loan revenue, debt management solutions and more to 160 CUs nationwide.

"The Board of Directors welcomes Todd with great enthusiasm and is convinced they have found a dynamic and engaging leader that will continue to guide the credit union into the future," Public Service SCU Board Chairman Tim Farrell said in a statement. Farrell called Marksberry "a very people-oriented leader" who "works to build strong teams, generate excitement and support high interaction."

Marksberry said his passion for CUs was what spurred him to return to the credit union movement.

"I've always relished the opportunity to serve an organization that shares my core values and has a heritage and culture that prioritizes trust, integrity and service," he said. "To find a credit union that has built its reputation on being a leader and role model for the industry, it's absolutely the perfect fit."
