Member Driven Technologies on Monday announced the addition of MEA Financial to its partnership program, and with it a text-based offering known as "Text Concierge by MEA" that will bring a "new and convenient touchpoint" for member service to all MDT clients.
Text-based member service reportedly will allow MDT clients to engage their members via the standard text app available on mobile phones. The Farmington Hills, Mich.-based CUSO said the solution also offers the ability to channel other nontraditional communication methods into a single repository for both conversational replies and archive.
MDT and MEA said they have completed the integration to the Symitar Episys core solution, along with installing the Text Concierge solution at MDT. The two companies said this new offering will provide MDT's clients with the added benefit of easy access to Text Concierge through existing MDT connections as well as the security benefit of all data being stored at MDT.
"Our partnership with MDT is highly strategic as it builds on the foundation we have laid with Text Concierge in the financial industry," Ed Rhea, CEO of MEA Financial, said in a statement. "MDT has built a unique and fast-growing model of delivering a full suite of solutions and services to credit unions, and MEA is proud to have Text Concierge included in that suite. Based on the fact that 97% of Americans text daily on their mobile devices, with the average millennial texting 67 times a day, Text Concierge meets a need by providing members with an avenue to communicate with their credit union in today's preferred method, which is texting."
Matthew Baaki, MDT's chief technology officer, said, "A texting solution is a must-have among our product offerings. It is the go-to means of communication for many today because it is easy, efficient and non-intrusive. We are excited about bringing this capability to our clients."
Member Driven Technologies is a credit union service organization (CUSO) with a hybrid business model. MDT hosts and deploys the Symitar Episys core processing platform, as well as offering dozens of products and services that allow credit unions to round out their service offerings and compete with other financial institutions. MDT currently serves clients in 28 states, performing the processing for more than 1.8 million members with combined assets of $19.6 billion. Larry Nichols serves as president and CEO.
