PHILADELPHIA – Rev. William Ball, a member of $700-million American Heritage FCU here, is driving a brand new Chevy Malibu Hybrid he won as part of the celebration surrounding the credit union’s 60th anniversary.
Ball’s name was drawn from among 60 finalists on Nov. 29 in ceremonies prior to the credit union’s 2nd annual Grand Illumination Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony. During 2008, all members could enter the sweepstakes by completing an entry form at any American Heritage branch. Members who took advantage of the credit union's services during 2008 could earn additional sweepstakes drawing tickets. Monthly prize winners were drawn so that by the end of the year, the credit union had given away 60 iPod shuffles, 60 portable DVD players, 60 American Express Gift Cards, 60 iTunes Gift Cards and six laptop computers.
The credit union also gave away 60,000 ScoreCard Reward Points each month during 2008.
