Members First Credit Union in New Hampshire names new CEO

Members First Credit Union in Manchester, New Hampshire, named Courtney Fifield as its new CEO.

He replaces Bruce Leighton, who retired last year.

Fifield was most recently CEO of $85 million-asset Athol Credit Union in Athol, Massachusetts, since 2019. He has more than 13 years of credit union management experience and over two decades in banking and finance.

"Courtney's experience and leadership will be invaluable," Members First Chairman David Mara said in a press release. "His commitment to community service and his passion for empowering people to achieve their financial goals align perfectly with our mission."

The $252 million-asset Members First has nearly 13,000 members in Manchester, Bedford and surrounding communities. 

Members First earned $467,000 in the first quarter of 2023, a 26% decrease compared with a year earlier, according to call report data from the National Credit Union Administration.
