SUMTER, S.C. – Members of SAFE FCU will get a bonus tomorrow of $4 million as part of the $540 million credit union’s 12th annual bonus dividend and interest rebate.

Deposit accounts, including certificates, will receive a 30% bonus based on dividends received in 2008. Loan accounts (except credit cards) will receive a 7% interest rebate based on total interest paid in 2008.
The credit union, chartered in 1955 at Shaw Air Force Base, had a successful 2008, with almost $7 million in net income through the first three quarters of the year.
