The new credit union will use the name Visterra CU and be headed by David Gunderson, CU SoCal’s CEO. Robert Cameron, Visterra’s CEO will be the president.

The deal comes just two weeks after the announcement of a merger between First Future CU and California Coast CU to create a $1.8 billion credit union; and a month after final approval for the combination of Wisconsin’s Summit CU with Great Wisconsin CU to create the state’s largest credit union with $1.2 billion in assets.
