Meter Runs Out For CU Robber

ALBANY, N.Y. – A man who allegedly robbed Marcy FCU Tuesday was arrested yesterday after he used a taxi for his getaway from Utica to Colonie.

Police said Joseph Cittadino, 22, robbed the credit union in Marcy about 2:45 p.m. Tuesday, then hired a taxi to take him to Colonie. State police were able to stop the taxi as it was returning to Utica. The driver said Cittadino had been dropped off in Colonie, where he took another cab to the bus terminal in Albany, where he was arrested.

When he was arrested, the suspect was carrying about $5,200 believed stolen from the credit union.
