PEMBROKE PINES, Fla. – State regulators approved a request from Power Financial CU to expand into Florida’s Keys, a 160-mile string of connected islands south of Miami.
The move will enable the $490 million credit union to serve the Keys’ communities of Islamorada, Key Largo, Key West, Summerland Key, Big Pine Key, Sugarloaf Shores, Marathon, Key Colony Beach, Marathon Shores and Tavernier.
It is the second large Florida credit union approved to expand into the Keys in recent weeks, following Space Coast CU.
