Michigan CUs Mourn Death Of Long-Time Credit Union One Manager

FERNDALE, Mich. – The credit union movement is mourning last month’s death of Donald Murray, the former treasurer/manager of Ferndale Co-op CU, now Credit Union ONE, at 86.

Murray, who lived in Royal Oak, went to work for the credit union in 1948. He was treasurer/manager from 1950 until his retirement in 1986. Murray also served in the U.S. Navy from 1943-46.

After his retirement, he and his wife, Mary, who survives, traveled the country and Canada, towing a pop-up camper.
