LANSING, Mich. Michigan State University FCU awarded one lucky member new furniture, flooring, window treatments and lighting for her favorite room, plus $1,000 toward an MSUFCU Visa Gift Card, as part of its annual “Ideal Room Makeover” contest.
Contest entrants submitted applications with personal statements about why the credit union should select them to win a room makeover, along with a photograph of the room that could most use renovation.
“We are happy to provide this opportunity to enhance some of our members’ homes and create better living spaces for their families,” said Patrick McPharlin, president of the $2.3-billion credit union.
Three entrants were featured on the credit union’s website, and members were able to vote for the runner-up winners.
Elizabeth DaFoe of DeWitt, Mich., was selected from 80 entrants as the grand prize winner. Kelly Patterson of Brookline, Mass., was selected as the out-of-state contest winner and received $1,000 toward her MSUFCU Visa Credit Card.
