Michigan’s First Community FCU Grows Through Merger

PARCHMENT, Mich. – First Community FCU has applied to state regulators to acquire Michigan Services CU in Southfield, its second merger of the past six months.

First Community, with $620 million in assets, grew by almost a third last year after merging with Education First CU in Southgate.

Separately, the state regulator said it approved the merger of Saginaw’s Consumers Choice CU into United Financial CU in Saginaw; and of Kensington Valley Community CU, in Highland, into Affinity Group CU in Pontiac.
