LAKE HOUGHTON, Mich. – North Central Area CU has branched into the community’s elementary schools with new student-run branches in Houghton Lake, Roscommon, Standish and Twining.
The school branches are run by trained elementary students under direct supervision from employees at the $56 million credit union. The students work as branch manager, bookkeeper, marketer and tellers, and perform basic transactions each day the branch is open.
