Michigan’s Telcom CU Seeks New Vibe

NOVI, Mich. – Telcom CU, a one-time telephone workers credit union, has changed its name to Vibe CU, incorporating a modern version of the credit union’s historical roots in telecommunications.

“Our new name is creating excitement and energy among our members and employees,” said Tom Reagan, president of the $425-million credit union. “We look forward to making a connection with people through our new brand and cutting-edge technology.”

The credit union was chartered in 1936 by a small group of employees of the Detroit Division of the Michigan Bell Telephone Co. It now serves Oakland and Wayne counties.
