Mid American CU Re-enters Community With New Branch

WICHITA, Kan. – Mid America CU is building what will be a shared branch in northeast Wichita, a community it abandoned two decades ago when it closed its branch there.

The $160 million credit union operated an east-side branch until 1990, when it consolidated its operations and sold the building to Emprise Bank.

While Mid American plans to operate it as a shared branch, it will bear the costs of building the 4,000-square-foot building.
