MIDDLETOWN, Ohio – MidFirst CU has set its sights on a wider membership base and is changing its name to MidUSA CU.
The credit union was chartered in 1934 as Armco Employees CU and in 1994 changed its name to MidFirst. It currently serves residents of Butler, Warren and Montgomery counties and more than 200 select groups.
"Our name change came as a result of our continued interest in expanding into new markets while continuing to serve our existing membership with great products and services," said James Miles, president of the $185 million credit union. "The name change also made sense as we were challenged on the use of our name by a competing financial institution."
