Mission FCU Contributes $15,000 To Combat School Truancy

SAN DIEGO – Mission FCU said Friday it has donated $15,000 to the Sweetwater Union High School District to support the district’s attendance incentive campaign.

The credit union has been a longstanding partner with the district, but increased their support this year because of the extra efforts the district was making to increase student attendance.

The district’s program provides incentives to students for their school attendance. This month, the school district also received a 1997 Ford Mustang Convertible GT to give away to a junior or senior with perfect attendance. The car will be renovated by students in Southwest High School’s Automotive Technology class.
