MISSOULA, Mont. - Missoula FCU hosted its first-ever “Sustainability Fair” aimed at getting out information from a variety of sources on environmentally friendly practices. More than 200 people and 25 vendors turned out for the event at a local hotel at which MFCU also presented two seminars on financial topics and coordinated with representatives from the Missoula Green Building initiative to offer green building and remodeling seminars.
The $251-million MFCU said it is already planning to host the event again last year. The 40,000-member credit union itself has been working to be more environmentally friendly, including plans for its next branch to be a “green” building.
