ST. LOUIS Missouri Corporate CU announced this morning Dennis DeGroodt will retire as CEO of the $1.2 billion corporate credit union July 31 and will be succeeded by Kathleen “Kitty” Gray, its chief financial officer.
DeGroodt has served as CEO of Missouri Corporate since 1997 and has worked in the credit union movement for 35 years; as a volunteer director of Missouri State Employees CU, president of Wetterau Employees CU, and as vice president of operations of Missouri Corporate and vice president of U.S. Central FCU, before becoming CEO of Missouri Corporate. From 1994 to 197 he headed his own consulting firm for credit unions, Dennis DeGroodt and Associates LLC.
Gray has been CFO at Missouri Corporate since 1999 after a career in accounting with KPMG Peat Marwick and Rubin Brown in Clayton, Mo.
Missouri Corporate serves 157 credit unions in Missouri, Oklahoma, Illinois and North Dakota.
