Missouri Governor Speaks To CU Meeting

Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt (R) spoke to attendees at the Missouri Credit Union Association's Annual Meeting here during the Governmental Affairs luncheon. "I want to thank credit unions for providing people the opportunity to better their lives. What credit unions are doing is important now and is important for the future," said Blunt. "I see credit unions as partners as we work toward a better future for Missouri."

Following Blunt's address, the Missouri Farmers Union Credit Union, the first state-chartered credit union in seven years, officially received its charter and NCUA certificate of insurance. Ken Bonnot, acting Director for the Division of Credit Unions, presented the documents to MFUCU Board Chairman Russ Kremer and President Steve Burdic.
