More Guilty Pleas In String of 2014 Mid-Michigan CU Robberies

LANSING, Mich. — Several men from Detroit have pleaded guilty to a string of credit union robberies here late last year.

Last month, Terrell Reese, 21, and Deftona Howard, 22, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in Grand Rapids Mich. to charges of conspiracy to commit credit union robbery, according to local media reports. Three others have been charged, along with another who has pleaded guilty. Along with those six, Scantavia Isaac has also been arrested in connection with the robberies.

The defendants are charged with robbing credit unions throughout the Greater Lansing area between September and December of 2014, including branches of CASE Credit Union, Lake Trust Credit Union and Astera Credit Union, as well as CU robberies in Ann Arbor and Livonia.
